The cost of setting up and providing your neighbour’s a party wall notice is £30.00 via 1st class post.

This particular service also covers a land registry search to verify your neighbour’s identification and address and the provision of a follow-up 10-day notice if it is required.

Additionally, it covers the supply of a form of authorization and a supply of explanatory notes where necessary.

Schedule of Condition

We charge £425.00* for making the Schedule of Condition.

This cost covers the taking of 150-550 photographs of the adjacent property dependant on cracks in the property before work starts off.

Our rates also includes the assessment of your respective neighbours home, relevant note-taking of the condition of the property.

The cost for a land registry lookup is included. Three copies of the Schedule of Condition will be produced. One copy would go to you, another to your neighbour and one we keep on our file.

Situation 2

The neighbour dissents or they actually do not react within 14 days, meaning it’s presumed they have dissented.

In this case, both parties can appoint their very own surveyor or even a common surveyor to issue a Party Wall Award.

The agreed surveyor needs to be impartial rather than the same surveyor the house owner might be using for their own works. Otherwise, their neighbour is unlikely to view the surveyor as neutral.

Situation 3

Each owner’s appointment their own surveyor. This can be an expensive option as the homeowner carrying out the works is responsible for the cost of both surveyors.
